We have been blessed to have our Stargate Atlantis Inspired Styled Wedding Shoot featured today on the Aisle Society website!! Originally featured on Storyboard Wedding, this is my interpretation of the wedding of two of the main characters of the TV show Stargate Atlantis: Col. John Sheppard and Teyla Emmagan. We had an amazing team that collaborated to bring my vision to life, and they crushed it! I hope you enjoy!!
Anyone die-hard “Stargate Atlantis” fanatics? This “Stargate Atlantis” inspired wedding editorial is right up your alley. Kimberly Lehman from Love, Laughter, & Elegance planned this stellar shoot with epic attention to detail and an explosion of any and all things about space exploration.
Our Earth Angel styled wedding photo shoot, from February of 2019, has been featured on the Aisle Society main page today! The feature was posted from the Storyboard Wedding blog. Enjoy!!
Love, Laughter, & Elegance’s antiquated styled shoot with brushed, aged metallics; muted colors seen in florals or other design elements; and baubles scattered throughout the aesthetic is a divine example of the now-often-seen vintage wedding trend into the current age.
The cake from our Earth Angel styled wedding photo shoot, that was featured on Layers of Luxe, has been named one of the best of the best for 2019!! This was one of the most elaborate styled shoots we have produced, and one of my favorites! The stunning cake was made by Debbie Wright of Cake Wasted, and the photos were taken by Stephanie Uptmor of Imagine It Photography. In the Layers of Luxe feature, the cake was listed as photo #9. Enjoy!!

For those of you who know me, know that I am a huge Sci-Fi fan. Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate – I love them all! Sometimes, the stories within the stories, reflecting the development of relationships between main characters, will grab me and take hold. Especially if the relationship is a romantic one. One such relationship is that of Col. John Sheppard and Teyla Emmagan, on the Stargate Atlantis tv series. Played by actors Joe Flanigan, and Rachel Luttrell, they never quite became a couple but there was plenty of chemistry between the two. If you are part of any ComicCon, fanfiction, or other fan-based groups, you would see that this pairing is quite popular, and many people wish their characters had gotten together during the show. I am certainly one of those fans.
I am so obsessed by John and Teyla’s story, that I designed an entire styled wedding photo shoot around it. This is my interpretation of their wedding, had it taken place during the tv series. My fabulous team of vendors joined me at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Ohio, to produce this stunning visual tribute to one of my favorite shows, and two of my favorite characters. We have been blessed to have this styled shoot featured on the StoryboardWedding blog! I hope you enjoy!
Anyone die-hard “Stargate Atlantis” fanatics? Or how about outer space buffs? Regardless, this “Stargate Atlantis” inspired wedding editorial is right up your alley. Kimberly Lehman from Love, Laughter, & Elegance planned this stellar shoot with epic attention to detail and an explosion of any and all things about space exploration.
Kimberly headed to the Great Lakes Science Center to dress it up with deep jewel tones like midnight blue, royal blue, emerald and jade green; with pops of gunmetal gray and naturally, gold. The shades were a common feature in the sci-fi show and of course, looking up into the heavens, you’ll see a few of them staring back at you. We love the fun allusion of spheres in the ceremony setup, and the reception’s tablescape hosts an elongated floral centerpiece with beautiful geometric structures. Without fail, the EAT Cake 216 stood its ground and rose to the occasion. The three-tiered cake was brushed with various dark shades and had stand-out gold constellations dotted throughout. Cheers to this group of talented vendors. You all out did yourselves!

We have been blessed to have our Earth Angel Styled Wedding Photo Shoot featured on Storyboard Wedding!! The Earth Angel shoot was one of the largest and most elaborate we have produced so far, in February of 2019. Held at the Glidden House in Cleveland, Ohio, and photographed by Stephanie and John Uptmor of Imagine It Photography, it was a wonderful day, filled with fantastic models and vendors collaborating to create amazing art. Enjoy!
An antiquated wedding styled shoot always has a few of these essential components: brushed, aged metallics; muted colors seen in florals or other design elements; and baubles scattered throughout the aesthetic. More is always more when it comes to vintage editorials, and we couldn’t help but realize that this is so on par with moody wedding inspirations. The design concepts for both are almost always luxe and glamorous, with an element of very slight modernity. These two styles absolutely adore their trinkets and their attention to detail, but you’ll also find contemporary styles like geometrics or sharp lines and crisp colors thrown into the mix. Love, Laughter, & Elegance’s moody vintage wedding inspiration is a divine example of these awesome vendor teams taking the now-often-seen vintage wedding trend into the current age.
Event planner Kimberly Lehman was inspired by seasonal transitioning and wanted to showcase it by bringing “heaven on earth”. We are besotted with this color palette: dusty blues, steel greys, lavender, blush, peach, and gold. It’s such a striking line-up and to follow up with that, the florals by Celestial Blooms were so stellar and lush. Large installations were created for the ceremony and reception concepts, respectively. The bridal bouquets donned a variety of blooms like lavender and blush roses, white hydrangea, silver dollar eucalyptus, protea, wheat, pampas grass, albino peacock, and white ostrich feathers. We also get to see a fun idea of having two brides with two different looks, and then outfit changes to give more variety to the viewer. Undoubtedly, after checking out the photos, this inspiration was a labor of love and we completely commend everyone on such a job well done.

In September of 2018, in honor of my 45th birthday, I collaborated with several talented vendors on a little styled photo shoot. Usually I am the one coordinating all of the vendors, models, decor and details, but this time, I wanted to do something just for me. The end result was a fun-filled afternoon of pampering, and I felt like a queen! I could not have done this without my fabulous vendor team. Thank you very much, dear friends!
The styled shoot is featured today on the Pretty Pear Bride blog! My advice: Never be afraid to celebrate you! Enjoy!
Today we are sharing an amazing styled shoot. It’s a shoot from someone out of our own wedding industry community… I just love that. Check out what Kimberly of Love, Laughter and Elegance: Wedding and Event Planning.
“This is a styled shoot, celebrating the woman that I am at this point in my life. I am a wedding and event planner with over 20 years of experience. I am also a wife to a fantastic husband, and mom to two awesome daughters. I am confident in my own skin, proud of my education, accomplishments, and abilities, and damn sexy in my own right! I wanted to do something special for myself for my birthday, and to be able to share that day with others.”
What was your design inspiration? have seen other milestone birthday celebrations shared online, and I wanted to do something similar for my 45th birthday, which took place in September. I love the fun, bright colors and peppy style of Kate Spade, and wanted to bring that out in this photo session. Those shades of hot pink, blush, black and gold are some of my favorites, and are also my business branding colors, so it went along perfectly! I wanted to showcase the woman I have become at this stage of my life: educated, successful, vibrant, and damn sexy in my own right!
Describe your flowers. My flowers are a mixture of lush silk blooms, in shades of white and pink: dahlias, magnolias, jasmine, peonies and roses.
Describe your cake. The stunning cake was created by Debbie Wright of Cake Wasted. It is frosted in edgy black fondant, giving it a chalkboard effect. The cake was trimmed in narrow gold ribbon, edible gold paint drips, and blush pink silk blooms. It is easily my favorite cake!
Tell us about your attire choices.I wanted to share my sultry, sexy, and fun-loving sides in this celebration shoot. For one of my looks, I chose a my blush pink leather jacket, which was layered over a black lace bodysuit, and blush tulle skirt. Another one of my favorite looks, was my black strapless dress, to which I had my fabulous seamstress, Laurie Wallick of Lorili Design, add a fun hot pink chiffon ruffle. Of course, what birthday celebration would be complete without a gorgeous tiara! I had so much fun choosing that particular piece, and I definitely felt like a queen for a day!
Please describe any DIY, handmade or personal details. Most of the details were pretty classic, simple and elegant. That is my personal style. The cute paper pinwheels that were attached to the message board were created by Melissa Walker. The sign that I am holding in one of the photos describes some of the things that were popular and culturally relevant in 1973, my birth year. It made for a fun keepsake.
Describe the tablescape elements. The table was covered in a floor length white linen, and topped with a large black and white checked cloth. The stylish cake was placed on a clear glass cake plate, and the gorgeously decorated birthday cookies were styled on a vintage gold framed mirror tray. We added napkins in coordinating colors, and a bottle of bubbly and gold-rimmed crystal champagne flutes. We also had a couple of cute stemless wineglasses, and fun straws.

A modern meets classic wedding with an industrial chic setting and geometric elements! See this cool wedding inspiration featured on B.LOVED!
We were pleased to collaborate with Nikki Avramovich of Avra Studio, on this gorgeous Geometric Greenery styled bridal photo shoot. It has been featured on B.LOVED Blog, a wonderful wedding blog in the UK. Congratulations to all of the vendors and models!
CHIC GEOMETRIC WEDDING IDEAS WITH A NEUTRAL PALETTE + GREENERY
- Avra Studio together with Wedding Planner Love Laughter + Elegance shares this modern wedding inspiration a neutral colour palette with hints of gold, black and green, and statement geometrical shapes as well as on trend greenery!
- “Photographer Nikki Avramovich inspired this editorial – she wanted to incorporate on trend geometric shapes into a light filled, industrial style setting for a modern wedding. The florals by Nikki’s Perfect Petal Designs were a mix of pretty white blooms and heaps of lovely greenery! The intention was to present a lush mix, adding softness and a fresh look for this urban backdrop and for a industrial chic wedding. The wedding cake designed by Gearhart Custom Cakes was a clean modern design, decorated with gold and marbled geometric shapes. This continued with the stationery by Gold Leaf Calligraphy, where table numbers, and menus were all created to reflect the statement geometric theme. Adding a gold sequin table runner and metallic gold charger plates, with modern gold cutlery- all added a contemporary touch of elegance too. The style of the attire was to feel luxe and modern. For the Groom, a classic suit and tie looked very dapper – and for the Bridal look we chose a dress by All Brides Beautiful which was simply stunning! The gown’s overlay element to the skirt gave it a sophisticated yet modern edge.”
