Lori & Doug: A Gorgeous Wedding in August

Lori and Doug

This past August I had the pleasure of working with Lori and Doug, a lovely couple that had family and friends come from all over the country to their Ohio wedding.  The wedding was held at The Oaks Lodge at Chippewa Lake, in Medina County, Ohio. (www.theoakslodge.com

Their wedding was infused with bright fall colors: reds, oranges and golden yellows, and the reception had a wine theme, complete with wine bottles and custom printed wine goblets nestled into wreaths of golden foliage and candles.  The wedding cake, lovingly hand-crafted, was brought from out of state by a very talented family member, and was beautifully decorated with flowers, grapes, and scrollwork.

The sweet and sentimental ceremony, performed in the beautiful pagoda that overlooks Chippewa Lake, was officiated by Reverend Angelle Keiffer.(www.OhioWeddings.org)  The food and staff at the Oaks Lodge are truly fantastic!  Audrey, the contact at the location, was on top of everything.  The photography, videography, and music for both the ceremony and reception were all provided by A Crystal Clear Sound Video & Photo (http://www.accsvp.com/).  The DJ kept the floor packed all night long, playing many favorites and requests.  The highlight of the reception was a slideshow presentation that the couple put together of pictures of their lives, growing up, with their families, and during their courtship leading up to the wedding.  It brought lots of laughs, and at the end, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.  It was a beautiful wedding, with many personal touches that made for lasting memories.
