Hello Everyone!
Do you remember the holiday movie, “A Christmas Story”? It’s where a young boy, Ralphie, spends the days before Christmas wishing for a Red Rider BB Gun. Very funny movie, and it usually runs several times on tv this time of year. I highly recommend checking it out. Anyway, one of the local Cleveland tv stations, WKYC, posted this news item about a couple that traveled to Cleveland, to get married at the house that was used for the movie, which is now open as a museum. Read on below:
Couple gets married at Christmas Story house
CLEVELAND — The Christmas Story house was home to it’s first wedding today. Erin Reed and Jeff Dubois drove here from Fort Wayne, Indiana to be married in the home on West 11th. They’re big fans of the film, but the Christmas Story house was not the couple’s first consideration. They considered a donut shop in Oregon that performed weddings as well, but they ultimately decided on The Christmas Story house. After the ceremony, the couple drove off in a 1937 Oldsmobile Touring sedan, like you see in the movie. |
